Burn It Down Editor's Review

Burn It Down is a simple front-end for the built in burning support in Mac OS X that allows you to burn CDs and DVDs.

The application has no interface at all. The only exception are the Dock Menu icon, the dialog that asks you to provide a folder that would be burned, and the status of the application right in the menu bar.

The application behavior is very good. I tested it by burning a large 2.5 GB folder that contains various file types. The folder also has a large number of files. Burn It Down did its job pretty well I must say and the behavior was flawless.

A minor flaw of the application appears when you provide a rewritable storage medium. The application erases the disc, and then it burns all your data, but it doesn't ask you anything before erasing the disc.

Pluses: is simple, easy to use, and it allows you to burn fast your data.

Drawbacks / flaws: it doesn't provide a confirmation dialog for the rewritable disc erasing; the application doesn't provide you a user interface.

In conclusion: since it doesn't provide you an interface, Burn It Down isn't recommended for advanced tasks. You can take a peek at other burning software like: SimplyBurns, Burn, QuickBurn, or CD Session Burner.
